We stopped in to Chick Fry for a snack. Ordered the honey hot tenders and they were absolutely delicious! A generous portion and reasonably priced, cooked from fresh. The owners were a delight.We travel through Plano regularly and will be back! I know it's a strip mall storefront but don't let that fool you!
I highly recommend Chick fry. They have a limited menu but so far everything has been delicious. The spicy zinger sandwich comes with seasoned fries, and was the perfect level of spicy for me being a medium spice level gal. The chicken tenders were delicious according to hubs. The owner was very kind, and even gave us a complimentary can of pop. We'll be back to try the other items soon.
Have been going here since the beginning and it's always a 5/5 experience. With the warm greetings from owner to them recommending new items. I try to go atleast once a month as I live about an hour away. My favorite are their hot honey wings and now their new SHRIMP!! Never had shrimp like this before. Flaky, light and crispy with their signature sauce.
I ate a little bit of everything today! I will say this is the only place I will eat bone in chicken. I will always favor chicken tenders though! The saucy fries were absolutely amazing. I 100% recommend giving it a try. This is my second time eating here and the environment only elevates the experience. We visit this place at least once a month just for the hot honey tenders--they're absolutely amazing! The balance of sweet and spicy is perfect, and they're always cooked to perfection. While the hours are limited, it's well worth planning your visit around them. The staff is fantastic--so kind and incredibly friendly, which adds to the overall great experience. I highly recommend ordering extra sauce cups; the sauce pairs perfectly with the tenders and takes them to the next level! If you're a fan of bold, delicious flavors and excellent service, you have to try this spot.
Ate there yesterday! Excellent! Ordered the spicy chicken sandwich (I didn't find it spicy or hot), and it was delicious! The entire sandwich was so fresh from the chicken itself to the bun! The fries and sandwich have a bit of an Indian spice that is presently different - I found it a little salty, but it's because I don't eat salt hardly ever. It wouldn't stop me from ordering again! I don't live close but will be back for a chicken sandwich. Every time I'm in the area! Did I mention the reasonable prices? Great chicken sandwich spot!
Very pleasantly surprised! The ambiance was fine. The kitchen was clean. The food was really good! I ordered the 6 pc Honey Spicy BBQ (AWESOME sauce) and the broasted chicken. Service was good. Took about 10-15 min for my order to be done. Owner/Staff were very accommodating to my requests because of my diet. (They use canola oil, for all my health freak friends) I'll be back for seconds very soon!
The food is delicious! I've been eating here twice a week due to proximity of my work. Very personable staff, they certainly remember who I am when I come in.
Hey, I haven't reviewed in a while but feel compelled to get one done for Chick Fry. Now, to be fair I ordered from Uber Eats so I haven't been inside and I know this isn't a review of Uber Eats but my order was fast, hot, and correct so they got that going for them. As for the food, I really liked it. I ordered the 4pc special, which is essentially two 2pc meals. Imagine two styrofoam take out boxes filled completely with fries with two pieces of chicken on top. I ordered the chicken spicy and it had a great lingering heat. It wont blow your head off but the spice is nice and will stay on your lips for a while. It doesn't say this on the Uber Eats menu but I believe the spice is a green curry. Now to be clear the chicken is not saucy and its not the coating that's spicy the actual chicken seems like its marinated in something so the flavor penetrates all through the meat. The fries are frozen crinkle cuts sprinkled with some kind of seasoning salt that I enjoyed. Nothing amazing but a nice compliment to the fried chicken. I really liked the food and I'll go back, this time in person.
